Fantasy & Crime Reviews

We love our romance... but sometimes nothing beats a great Fantasy or a juicy crime (can you say "shirtless Jack Reacher" anyone?).

Part of the purpose of FANGtastic Fiction is to provide reviews and commentaries on books and authors. If you’d like to review a book then we’d like to hear from you.
Here are some thoughts to help you when reviewing:

When you start the review have the book with you so you can reread pages that interest you or refresh your memory on aspects that you think are noteworthy.
Give an overview of the story line, but don’t give away too much. We will attach a link to the dustcover of the book so readers can also jump to that link for the publisher’s overview of the novel.
Consider what aspects of the genre made this book stand out as something that you wanted to review. Was the world-building fascinating or tedious, were the characters strong and courageous in the face of adversity, did one character dominate, were the women strong or wimpy?
What were your feelings when you read the book? Did you feel that you connected with the characters, did you end up caring about them, was the plotline intriguing or obvious, was the pace fast, slow, exciting, tedious, etc.
We want to know what you think about the book – did it make you want to read other books by the same author? Is this a book you think others should read? What similar books would you recommend?
Provide links that you think readers of your review would enjoy.

There are some set things that we will always need in a review, so please use the following format for your review:

Title
Name of Series (And what number in the series it is)
Genre (Such as Urban Fantasy, Contemporary Romance, Paranormal Romance, Thriller, etc)
Your Name (We need your real name please)
Name for credit (What name do you want to show as author of the review, or if you want this posted as to be anonymous)
Recommendation (A general rating out of five)
