We love our romance... but sometimes nothing beats a great Fantasy or a juicy crime (can you say "shirtless Jack Reacher" anyone?).
Below is a list of all reviews on individual books. If you are looking for reviews on overall series and/or reviews and information about the authors, please go to our authors page.
To view the complete review click on either the 'Read More' link, the title of the book or the author. These will all take you to the book's page in the shop, at the bottom you will find all of the reviews.
A note on the 'rating': there are only 5 stars available. We haven't allowed for 1/5 stars, which can be quite frustrating, having more stars would make reviewing much easier, but we want to be very subjective. So a 2-star rating means the book is 'ok, nothing I found amazing, but generally ok', where as a 5-star is VERY hard to get, and pretty much means 'stop the presses, I've found the holy grail of literature'. Not every book can be a 5-star, and not every book can be a 1-star. Think of this as a graded examination, the books are all compared against each other to see where they rate.
| 5 Stars | Excellent! Original and Brilliantly written. |
| 4 Stars | Very Good. Nice Flow and Interesting Characters. Almost perfect. |
| 3 Stars | Good. Great Book, but a couple of things could have been better. |
| 2 Stars | OK. Not a bad read, but didn't ring my bells. Just didn't quite get there. Lacking in plot flow or character development. |
| 1 Star | Not my cup of tea - read the review to understand why. |

| Lover Avenged by J.R. Ward
|
15-Dec-2009 | Reviewer:rcourtney@fangtasticfiction.co I had Lover Avenged by JR Ward for ten days before I started reading it. Believe me, this is unusual. I had found the first two books of the Black Dagger Brotherhood years ago when in England and had been breathless with admiration for these bo...Read More... |

| The Devil You Know by Jenna Black
|
15-Dec-2009 | Reviewer:Ali Jenna Black is an incredibly good author, and the second book in the Morgan Kingsley series just proves that I’m right! Not as dynamically mind blowing as the first – but it is incredibly hard to live up to that one. This is still a r...Read More... |

| The Devil's Due by Jenna Black
|
15-Dec-2009 | Reviewer:Ali The Devils Due is really all about getting the ‘gang’ back together. Many twists and turns to get there, but that’s basically how I’d sum it up. I am pleased to say that I finally ‘get’ Brian, oh, and he’s a WHOLE lot sexier in this bo...Read More... |

09-Dec-2009 | Reviewer:Ali The big bang theory has just been proven – if ever there was an explosion that started the universe I think it would look something like the start of this debut story from Tracey O’Hara. HUGE start, that just doesn’t stop. Night’s Cold...Read More... |

06-Dec-2009 | Reviewer:Ali This is a very hard review to write, I want to tell you all about this great book, but without giving away ANY of the plot, as it is so originally written to give too many plot details would ruin the suspense and excitement of the story. <...Read More... |

| Magic to the Bone by Devon Monk
|
05-Dec-2009 | Reviewer:Ali So often when reading a new author the automatic reaction is to compare the world and the writing style to our previous reading experiences, so where does Devon Monk’s “Magic in the Bone” fit for me? Our heroine has hints of JD Robbs ‘Eve’ in a...Read More... |

| Covet by J.R. Ward
|
05-Dec-2009 | Reviewer:Ali Can I just say... “wow”. If you can get over the odd bit of ‘catholic guilt’ and ‘religious melodrama’, this is going to be J.R. Wards best series. We’ve got a range of men with Harleys, ‘shit-kickers’ and serious attitudes... who are loyal and...Read More... |
